Nowadays, a field of high relevance is the seismic vulnerability of existing buildings, especially if constructed before the mid-90s, as the latest earthquakes have sadly demonstrated.
Engineer Mario Gallinelli has been designing reinforced concrete and steel structures for more than 30 years. Engineer Michele Gallinelli is specialized as a structural engineer; he took part in the latest training courses in the field and also served as technical volunteer for the last earthquake in the Region Emilia, where he was sent by the Order of Engineers to perform static checks on buildings, as ordered by the Ministry and the Italian Civil Protection.
Combining this opportunity to directly verifying the behaviour of buildings subjected to earthquake and to assess their damage, with the study of computational techniques and structural regulations, the numerous instances of checks on buildings in reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and prefabricated, the Gallinelli Office of Engineering can professionally verify the existing structures in order to assess their seismic vulnerability.
After the surveys and the finite-element calculation, we design the best solutions to reinforce the structures.
